Dale's Automotive is Harrisburg's Brake Shop for High-Performance Vehicles

Come to Dale's Automotive in Harrisburg to get high-performance brakes that stop with authority every time regardless of road conditions. We have organic, ceramic, and metallic replacement brake pads with applications ranging from daily driving to track racing to off-roading. Talk with the expert mechanics at Dale's Automotive to determine which type of brake pad is best for your driving style and application. Upgrade to high-performance rotors, calipers, master cylinders, and brake fluids the next time you have your brakes serviced at Dale's Automotive in Harrisburg.

Talk To Dale's Automotive About High-Performance Brake Service Upgrades:

Metal Brake Pads: Performance-driven drivers prefer the metallic brake pads because they tolerate a much wider range of temperatures and track conditions. Metal brake pads are excellent conductors of heat making them able to withstand more heat without debonding while also cooling back down rapidly.

Line Locks: Love a good smokey burnout? Let your rear wheels spin aggressively without wasting your rear brake pads. Get your line lock installed by the auto repair experts at Dale's Automotive in Harrisburg. Allow your front brakes to lock independently of the rear brakes with just the flip of a simple switch.

Brake Booster: Get a master cylinder on steroids by adding a brake booster installed by the expert mechanics at Dale's Automotive. Reduce the amount of pedal pressure needed for braking with higher hydraulic pressure and lower force applied on the brake pedal.

Drum to Disc Conversion: You love your classic car but let's face it, those old drums make stopping hazardous. For restoration enthusiasts, the mechanics at Dale's Automotive specialize in 15-inch wheel drum to disc conversion that maintains the original manufacturer aesthetics. Get a complete brake system that includes 11-inch drilled and slotted rotors, single-piston cast calipers, stock or drop spindles, and a master cylinder with brake booster when you do your drum to disc conversion at Dale's Automotive.

What People Say About Us

I highly recommend Dales Automotive. It's a family run repair shop, and I've been going to them for nearly 10 years now. My parents have been getting their cars repaired here for longer than that. You see, I don't trust mechanics...but I definitely trust Dale. I drive an older car, which means I need a trustworthy mechanic who won't charge me for more than I need, and he doesn't. I dropped my car off about 2 weeks ago because I noticed my breaks felt squishy and I wasn't stopping quickly enough. (I usually drop my car off the night before and pick it up before they close.) At first glance, they couldn't really find anything wrong, so they called me to find out exactly what it was doing. I explained to them how it was acting and they put it up in the air to recheck it. They found out the problem and fixed it and my breaks are good as new! They always take good care of my vehicle, and will let me know (in english) when something looks like it's going to need to be repaired in the future. I've never been charged for something I didn't need...unlike other places. Sure, it can be expensive...but I don't feel like they're using me. Some things are just more costly to repair, especially when my car has over 200,000 miles on it! But thankfully they accept the autopride card. That thing is a lifesaver. It allows me to make payments over the period of several months...interest free.

I will never go anywhere else with my car again. I came here after taking my car to Monroe Muffler Break to have my oil changed. Monroe cracked my oil pan while changing my oil, all of the oil leaked out, and not knowing any of this I drove. When my oil light went on I panicked and drove back there where I was treated awfully and told it was my fault. They told me that I needed to buy a new oil pan which is very expensive. As a full-time student with no income I had no idea what to do or what kind of damage that I had done to my car driving on it with no oil. Panicked, upset, and not knowing anything about cars I had my car taken here to Dales. I was treated wonderfully and my car was taken excellent care of. They were able to fix my oil pan and assure me that my car was ok. Every single time that I need something done on my car, they do their best to squeeze me in. These men do excellent work and really care about what they are doing. If there is anyway for me to get my car to Dales, I will continue to return time and again.

This shop has consistently provided excellent service at great prices. They've always been very friendly and accommodating. They do only the work requested, without digging for other issues that may or may not actually exist. Wonderful local business!

Knowledge, integrity, and determination to do the job right. That's what you will find at Dale's Automotive. And reasonable prices, too. I know that sounds a bit like a commercial, but it's all true. Sadly, it is NOT true of the vast majority of big company service places that loudly advertise their typically terrible service (I'm looking at YOU Tires Plus!).

Thanks for getting the inspection done! And I really appreciate you telling me which stuff didn't need to be replaced right away, saving me hundreds in the process! And Dale, thanks for letting me drive my car home with you in tow to drive it back to the shop so I didn't need to call a cab from your shop, that was priceless!

I hardly ever review things but I felt compelled after my many experiences with Dale. 5 stars, hands down. He is timely, responsive, hard-working, dependable and trustworthy. I have referred many people to him and will continue to do so with utmost confidence. I cannot recommend him enough!

Dale is AWESOME!!! He has been servicing our Hondas for 25+ years. He is the perfect mechanic- fair, expert, quick and SO easy to work with. We just love him. We have older (1991, 1999) Hondas with a ton of mileage on them and we have Dale service them regularly. He keeps them purring like kittens! My 1999 Civic with 265K gets around 34mpg in town, stop & go traffic, with the AC blasting in the summertime!! Who could ask for anything more? Super nice guy too...! Could not recommend more highly!!

Dale is the most wonderful Honda Mechanic I have ever met. Someone from my neighborhood and church introduced me to Dale almost two years ago. Not only is the shop just 2 miles from my house, but Dale is always available to do the small stuff at the spur of the moment. He is the most reasonable Honda service around town and he never tries to sell you unnecessary services. Great service, great prices, and a great person!

I learned about Dale's repair from a friend at work. She highly recommended his shop and I agree with this recommendation. He does great work, doesn't do work that is not needed and charges very reasonable prices. He's just the best!

An honest and reliable repair shop! Dale has been specializing in Honda and Acura repair for many years and it shows in his ability to diagnose and repair my cars. He is very knowledgeable and always willing to help. Repairs here are often half of what the dealership would charge without the hassle of the dealership. The shop offers free wi-fi while you wait and free coffee.
